Lots & Lots of Cards

Merry Christmas a little late!

I hope all of you had a very Merry Christmas and the New Year brings much happiness.

I would like to thank all of you for visiting my blog and I do enjoy reading your comments. I plan  to continue with my blogging and if you, my readers have any suggestions to make it better please let me know. My scrapbooking has been neglected lately but I hope to rectify that in the New Year!

I've posted lots of cards today as I did plan to put them up earlier but things got in the way.

Hopefully I'll be back for a visit with you before the New Year.

Tri Fold Ornament Card

Morning,

Just a quick little card to share this morning. I made this using Imagine Snow Angel. A 5 1/2 x 12" piece of cardstock scored at 4" & 8". Used a spellbinders die to cut the holes.

Keeping it short as I'm sure you're as busy as I am!
Monday my DD is arriving and then we will be really busy. Must get my tree this week-end as I promised DD that I would wait so she could help decorate it with me.

Enjoy your day and take a few minutes just for YOU!

And Then There Was Light

Good Morning,

Well I spent 6 hours out shopping yesterday only to come home and order most stuff on-line.  I have a few more things to pick up and still some things I want to make and still a couple presents to wrap and put in the mail. Ugh.....they are going to be late.

These are the glass blocks you can buy at Michael or Hobby Lobby. I also found out Lowe's carrys them in colors, red & green. The blocks were clear and I used a spray to give them the frosted look.

This one was created for our neighbors who take care of our house when we go away. I can't remember exactly which cartridges I used, but I do like going into the Cricut Craftroom to design the project. A big computer screen is so great to get a good idea what the project will look like and the sizing.

In this case here the block is 7 1/2" x 7 1/2" ...I create a square to work within on CCR that way I an instantly see if the sizing of everything is proportionate.
Nice bow too! While I was at Michaels I picked up a bow maker. Actually it's just a piece of wood with some dowel stuck into it but man does it work. I got it for $5.00 so I figured I couldn't come home cut the wood, buy the little dowels and attached a ruler to the wood for measuring for that price.  Although it did take me at least 15 minutes to convince myself that I needed it.
I have another one I'm working on for myself so I'll share it soon.

Try not to get to stressed out about Christmas, remember what doesn't get . .  done doesn't get done and nobody will probably notice unless you don't cook the turkey!

Have a GREAT day!

It's Almost Here...Are You Ready?

Morning Crafters,

It's getting down to the wire to get everything done. Heading to post office shortly to mail out the bulk of my Christmas cards. Still need to make about a dozen more but will feel better if I get what I have done out.

Shopping if far from complete but the list is getting shorter.

I liked this card so much I actually made four of them. This year I've been usually only making one of each design which takes a lot longer. The entire card was made using Santa's Village cricut cartridge. That includes printing the paper. I also dug through my stash of goodies and found these metal embellishments and loved the finish they gave to the card.
Thanks for stopping by today for a peak!

Sharing A Drink

Morning,

TGIF - not really for me...if it wasn't Friday it would mean I would still have more days left in the week. If you remember yesterday I was going to check my Christmas card count. Yikes....I'm coming up short...way short. I may have to produce more than one of a design to get enough ready by mailout day which should be Monday.

I played around with a variety of cricut cartridges on this one. Love You A Latte, Christmas Wish and Winter Woodland.
On the lettering I used Tim Holtz ink and just darkened the top half of the letters. Some rhinestones for steam. Yeah...I liked that! And to finish off the whipped cream - puffy paint. If you have liquid applique that works too. Squeeze it on, let it dry for a little while and add heat with a heat tool. It puffs up. For different looks you can try varing the drying times as well as how thick you put on the product.  The little cupcake from Jolees.

Here's hoping you staying warm and dry. Eastern Canada was getting some nasty weather.

Enjoy!

3-D Tree

Good morning,

Hope everyone is getting their Christmas preparations done. I'm slowly getting there...slowly been the key word.

So a quick card for you.

Background is textured with a cuttlebug folder. The tree itself is from a Stampin' Up die cut.

The great part is take any shape and glue three of them together and you can have a pop up effect.

I little weather news from Texas. It froze hard here last night and the forecast is for more frost. Hope it warms before Kristen & Joel arrive.

Time to count the Christmas cards to see if I have enough made!

Guest Designer at FCCB!

Good Morning,
Back for another week of projects. For the month of December the design team over at Creative Critterz Imaginations gets to be creative and showcase whatever we like.

I started this project off with a white 12 x 24" canvas. Painted the edges green and covered it with two sheets of pattern paper.

The rosettes are cut from Ribbons & Rosettes at 2.75" which makes about a 5" diameter rosette.
I used Gypsy font at 1.8" and clear embossed it three times for a nice glossy finish.

Ornaments from Christmas Solutions cut at 2.5" & 2". There were three layers and the top layer I covered in glitter.

All the circles were cut using spellbinders but could easily have been done with the cricut.
Fantabuous Cricut Challenge Blog did a Sunday Spotlight on my blog. Very exciting. Also today I'm a guest designer over at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog. Our theme there was Present Time. It could be a gift, gift wrapping, a card with a gift on it..... be sure to check out all the projects!
This was my creation
Santa/Tree/Presents - Santa's Villiage
Stars - Lyrical Letters
Sleigh - Christmas Solutions
Believe- Gypsy Wanderings

I think that wraps things up today. I have lots of things to keep me busy all week!

Happy Birthday

Hello There,

Just want to wish my DD a Happy Birthday today! She's turning 27. I can't believe it. Have a GREAT day Kristen!

Card was created using the Imagine and Yummy cartridge. I was in a hurry when I took the photo so I didn't end up with a good one showing dimension. There are lots of layers.

I think I'll try to get some more of my Christmas decorations up today.

JOY

Morning,

Well it's December and the rush is on. Finding it harder right now to get my blog posts up. I have lots of projects to share but just don't seem to get time to photograph them.

Must start the Christmas shopping. :)

I do enjoy coloring so I pulled out my copic markers and an old stamp I've had for years but just love.

Word Joy and ornament shapes cut with the cricut.
Every card needs a little extra something so I dug through my big eyelet stash and also came up with a brad stocking.

Thanks for stopping by today to visit. Tomorrows card will be non-Christmas - it will be somebodys birthday!

PS - Off to get groceries. DH home this week-end and will probably expect food in the house.
