K-Cup Valentine Holder

Morning,

This was another Valentine project I had made. This fits two K-cups for your coffee maker.

The heart with wings is from Create A Critter 2 cartridge. It really is a great cartridge. Of course I couldn't resist making the heart glittery. It matched the glittery heart border. The heart border was purchased from Michael's. it comes on a roll and is self-adhesive. It works great and there are lots of different styles of these borders. Some have gems on them and others are beautiful crocheted lace.
I made the box by figuring out how the dimensions to hold my 2 k-cups. I even put an insert into the box that had two holes to keep them in place. Those holes I made with my nestabilities.

Over the week-end I went to the Houston Rodeo Parade. It was the kick-off to three weeks of rodeo events. Every night there is a big name entertainer performing after the rodeo events are finished for the day. I haven't figured out which entertainer I'm going to see yet. Really enjoyed the parade. Some nice floats, lots of great bands and then many, many horses. Every year many groups of people actually trail ride from all over different places to go to the rodeo. Click here for a video. Click here for photos.
Enjoy!

Valentine Heart Treat

Hi There,

Today I'll share some treats I made for the gals in my stamping group. They hold six hersey kisses.
Click here for the tutorial on making them. Very easy.

Have a Great Day!

Here's Tigger!

Morning,

Here's Korben on his first Halloween.

Ever wonder how to get typed print onto a cricut shape? Cut out the shape on your cricut that you want the type written words to be on. Then I design the journalling on Word or any other similiar  program. Print it out on regular paper.  Place the shape behind the printed words and see whether you need to adjust the font size or spacing. Once you're happy with it (I might have to do the printing on regular paper three or four times to get the sizing right) tape your piece of cardstock that you cut with your cricut overtop of the writing on the regular paper. Feed it through the printer again and the words should have printed onto your cardstock. On the top journalling box I had didn't have it quite lined up as I would have liked it. I felt there was too much space on the left side so I put a paw print in the space. Worked out perfectly. On both shapes I inked the outside edges and added faux stitching.
Inked the edges on Tigger too.
Cartridges Used:
Meow - paw print
Winnie The Pooh
Craft Room Basics
Art Nouveau - Tiggers & One

Spent the last couple of days working in the flower beds. We've dug up one of the front flower beds and rearranged all the shrubs.  I bought the cutest little egg shaped plant pots at Lowe's for $1.25 and planted Gerber Daisys in each. Maybe next week I'll try and post a photo. It's looking really good and a little springy.

It's Superman

Good Morning,

Here's hoping everyone who was hit by Old Man Winter was able to stay warm and safe.

Sharing Xavier's Halloween pictures from 2012.

I used the Cricut Superman cartridge for all of the cuts.
Yes, Superman has lots of tiny pieces to put together. I think he was cut around 6".
Used the planet from the second page to put on the first page.

I really like the glasses. They are meant to be cut out for kids to wear. How cool is that?
The sizing proportions on the above page was meant to be more of 81/2 x 11" but I used CCR to stretch it to a 12 x 12.

Used photoshop 10 to get the red border around the picture. You can do some neat things with photoshop. Still learning them all.
My Journalling. Currently working on Tigger's page.
Thanks for stopping by today and I promise to come back tomorrow with a Valentine project! I'll probably need to post everyday this week to get them all shown!

Thanks So Much

Morning All!

Did you watch the Super Bowl yesterday? I’m usually not a big fan of watching sports on TV but I did tune into the last 12 minutes of the game. I didn’t have a favorite team to cheer for so it didn’t matter who won. Baltimore walked away as champions…I always feel bad for the team that loses.

Today’s card is pretty simple. All supplies Stampin’ UP. The texture on the pink oval was stamped. The rose has Dazzling Diamond glitter. It was actually stamped twice and the rose cut out of one so it could be raised up with a dimensional.

Have things to do today so must run. Yesterday was beautiful here, around 70 and perfect temperature for bike riding. I was out for a couple of hours. Felt so good.

Hope your week is off to a good start.
